You need dreams, goals, and aspirations, without them, we would feed only on our desire for pleasure. The good thing about our dreams are that they create in us a stronger character.
It does that by encouraging us to be more than we are now, by opening ourselves up. they cause us to aspire to excellence. Dreams are stirred up in a restless heart, one longing to be more, to do more, and definitely achieve more.
Some of our dreams may be impulsive or fanciful. But, others are more substantial. We can't shake them from our minds. They bubble to the top and survive, even in the full light of day. challenging us to take them seriously.
God created us with the ability to envision greatness. He leads us to think beyond our ordinary, moment to moment existence. Dreams are deep, when they take over us, they often look beyond what we want, to what God wants to do through us. Suppressing these images of fullness, means stifling a valuable experience that would give greater meaning to our lives.
Should we reject them out of hand?, we may ensure that we are all we are ever going to be. It must not have been easy for Peter (ACTS 10:34-35) to reject a lifetime of training to fulfill his vision, from God to accept gentiles as other Christians.
Dreams require prayer, Before acting on them, we must seek the will of God. Difficult dreams are not those that require us to do something, but those that require us to change, in order to reach success.
So, pray for the courage to change the things that you can, and the will to succeed. I will see you at the top.
